Maintenance NEXT 2011 a success!
April 20, 2011
Tedopres International presented itself from April 12th till 14th on the technology and maintenance trade fair Maintenance NEXT, in the Ahoy conference center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Our message to “Come see the future of maintenance” fully matched the goal of Maintenance NEXT: to show what the future of maintenance will look like. At several Tedopres stands, visitors were introduced to new technologies that contribute to higher efficiency, safety and cost reduction in maintenance: augmented reality, telemaintenance and voice activation integrated in the HyperVision software systems of Tedopres.
The presence of Tedopres at Maintenance NEXT turned out to be a major success. Three exceptionally successful days and lots of new contacts were gained. Tedopres International, together with its clients and partners, was part of the Innovation route in hall 5. This Innovation route themed innovation concerning technical documentation for maintenance, installation and usage of products and assets.
In several dynamic booths, Tedopres made the future of technical documentation tangible. Displaying assets like an army truck and a food-processing machine, Tedopres showed what technical documentation of these assets can look like, and how time and cost savings are obtained, amongst many benefits. Through innovative and interactive technologies the Tedopres stands turned into a very dynamic environment, where visitors were drawn by novelties.
By applying the latest technologies, such as augmented reality, telemaintenance and voice activation as part of its HyperVision software suite, Tedopres shows that these technologies offer the possibility to keep maintenance information and its status up-to-date at any time, anywhere, and from any location. It also shows that direct and interactive support can be offered to maintenance technicians on site. Furthermore, the application of these technologies leads to considerable increase in efficiency as well as cost reduction.
A 64-inch touch screen displayed HyperSIS (Service Information System), a system that links technical content including illustrations to an ERP system. HyperSIS drew a lot of visitors.
The interest of many visitors went out to the Scania WLS army truck. In this particular booth, Tedopres, in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Defense, showed SAMM, (System for Asset Maintenance Management), a new maintenance system which objective is to maximize the operational availability of assets and prolong the life cycle. In the maintenance process of the Scania WLS new technologies, such as voice activation, telemaintenance en augmented reality, are applied. Here the visitor was able to experience in real time, the way these new technologies work and its benefits for the total maintenance process of assets.
In addition to Maintenance NEXT being a highly successful tradeshow with many visitors at the various Tedopres booths, Tedopres showed that “the future of maintenance” is actually not that far away as we are already applying these technologies today.
